Pandal Explorer ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and mobile application.

- Account data: Name, email, mobile number, city, profile photo
- Location data: GPS coordinates to show nearby pandals (with your permission)
- User content: Reviews, ratings, uploaded photos and videos
- Engagement data: Likes, favorites, visit history, app interactions
- Device data: FCM tokens for notifications, device type
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide pandal discovery, navigation, and restaurant recommendations
- Authenticate your account and personalize your experience
- Moderate and display user-uploaded content
- Calculate trending scores, ratings, and Photo Rewards Program rankings
- Send festival updates and notifications (with consent)
- Improve our services and prevent fraud
3. Photo Rewards Program & Likes Data
For the Photo Rewards Program, we collect and process:
- Uploaded photographs and associated metadata (pandal, timestamp, uploader)
- Like counts and engagement metrics used to determine Top 5 winners
- Identity and payment information from winners (only when you win and claim a prize)
Like counts must reach a minimum of 10,000 likes for eligibility. We analyze engagement patterns to detect fraudulent activity. Disqualified entries will not be eligible for rewards.
4. Content Visibility
Approved photos and reviews may be visible to other users and on our public website/marketing. Your display name may appear alongside your content.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers (hosting, SMS/OTP, maps, push notifications)
- Legal authorities when required by law
6. Data Retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Some data may be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords.

Our services are not intended for users under 18. The Photo Rewards Program requires participants to be 18 or older.
