About this pandal
Fata Keshtor Kali Puja on Keshab Chandra Street was started in 1957 by Krishna Chandra Dutta, known as “Fata Keshto”, and is one of Kolkata’s most famous Kali Pujas. The committee deliberately keeps the idol, pandal and Chandannagar lighting unchanged year after year — a tall, blue-skinned Kali in a classic temple-style pandal.
Celebrities from Amitabh Bachchan to Uttam Kumar have visited over the decades, and thousands receive bhog every year.
