About this pandal
Burima of Chashapara Barowari has been worshipped since 1772 — Krishnanagar’s oldest and most famous community Jagaddhatri Puja. The idol is adorned on the night before Navami with gold and silver ornaments offered by devotees over the years, and tens of thousands receive polao bhog on puja day.

Its 253rd year: the idol was dressed in about 10 kg of gold on the eve of Navami, with Saptami, Ashtami and Navami rites all on Navami day.

Metro & rail
No Metro — take a Sealdah–Krishnanagar local (about 2.5 hours) to Krishnanagar City Junction, then walk or take a toto.
Bus routes
WBTC and private buses run extended services during Durga Puja. Check Kolkata traffic updates on Puja nights; many roads are one-way or pedestrian-only near major pandals.
Parking
Street parking near festival pandals is limited during peak Puja evenings. Arrive before 6 PM or use app navigation to find paid parking lots within walking distance. Avoid blocking residential lanes.
