About this pandal
Bagbazar Sarbojanin is one of Chandannagar’s oldest community Jagaddhatri Pujas, nearly 200 years old, known for towering idols, white alpana along the road and its big balloons and lighting in the Dashami procession.

Its procession floats told the story of a space mission in light — a rocket launch, a landing in space and the return to Earth — on a ₹12 lakh lighting budget.

How to reach
Metro & rail
No Metro — take a Howrah–Bandel line local to Chandannagar or Mankundu station (about 45 min), then walk; the town is closed to vehicles in the evenings during the puja.
Bus routes
WBTC and private buses run extended services during Durga Puja. Check Kolkata traffic updates on Puja nights; many roads are one-way or pedestrian-only near major pandals.
Parking
Street parking near festival pandals is limited during peak Puja evenings. Arrive before 6 PM or use app navigation to find paid parking lots within walking distance. Avoid blocking residential lanes.
