About this pandal
At Chaulpatty in Lakshmiganj Bazar the goddess is worshipped as Adi Maa, the original Jagaddhatri of Chandannagar — tradition credits Dewan Indranarayan Chowdhury with starting the puja in the 18th century. The idol, in traditional sabeki saaj, is covered in gold ornaments and garlands through the puja days.
